Is also called Mammoth Red Clover. It is a short-lived perennial legume that usually makes one cutting per season. Its globe shaped, pink flower is attractive to bees, while the stems and elongated leaves are softly pubescent.

• Facts to Note: Has a large root system, and is adapted to a wide range of soil pH and likes high calcium soils. Does not tolerate saturated soils. Seed in spring or fall depending on climate, tolerates cold well once established.
